So, you bought a mattress in a box? Rolled up mattresses…are a thing of the future! Here is the proper way to unpack your memory foam or hybrid mattress in a box without damaging it.

1. Take your mattress in a box, out of the box and set it on your platform bed, adjustable bed base or box spring. 
2. Carefully remove the outer plastic cover with scissors or the special plastic cutter that came with your mattress in a box. Do not use a knife or razor blade.
3. Gently pull the compressed mattress plastic to unroll it. Carefully trim the inner plastic cover to start the mattress decompression. Pull away the inner plastic cover and discard.
4. Be sure to allow 24 to 72 hours for your mattress to regain its full shape. Mattresses in a box have been machine rolled and compressed for efficient delivery and this will not affect its performance. 

In cold temperature, at delivery, your mattress in a box may take a bit longer to return to full sized from its compressed state.
