Rotate or Flip Your Mattress

To properly break in your mattress and avoid having one part of the bed grow softer due to your sleep pattern you should rotate or flip your mattress depending on the type of mattress your have.

  • One-sided mattresses should be regularly rotated from head to foot every 2-6 months depending on the age of your mattress. The older your mattress the more often you should rotate it.
  • Double-sided mattresses should be flipped and rotated from head to foot every 6-12 months depending on the age of your mattress.

Change Your Sheets & Bedding

Changing and washing your sheets and bedding is important for hygiene and it also protects your mattress. While we sleep our bedding and sleep accessories accumulate sweat, body oils, and other dirt that can seep into your mattress if it is not protected.

MALOUF WOVEN MICROFIBER BEDROOM SHEET SETS

A good rule of thumb is to wash your sheets and bedding once a week, or more often if you have pets that sleep with you.

At Columbus Mattress Wholesale our favorite sheets are woven brushed microfiber by Malouf. They are made from hypoallergenic micro-yarn fibers that are more durable than cotton and softer too.

Use A Proper Foundation
